Hajimi

- stay focused throughout technique
- establish presences when shuffling forward into kamae
- look at partner's throat, don't look around, listen to sensei with ears not eyes
- kamae: keep arms and fingers in centre of body, arms stay extended
- sharp continuous movement, don't think-just do it
- after pin, shite shuffles away from uke and waits in seiza or on one knee, uke promptly rises and turns toward shite. Rise together in kamae
- keep focused on partner and return to starting point, do not turn back to partner

- LF to RF, uke pulls on LH
- Shite shuffle OL to L and raises LH as RF C/S beside uke
- Shite shifts 180 and shuffles forward as L arm cuts down to shoulder height to throw

Katate Mochi Kokyo Ho Ni
One wrist grasp breath throw #2
- LF to RF, uke pushes on LH
- Shite pivots 180 degrees, shuffles OL to L and raises LH as RF C/S beside uke
- Shite shifts 180 and shuffles forward as L arm cuts down to shoulder height to throw

Katate Mochi Kokyo Ho
One wrist grasp breath throw
- LF to RF, uke pushes on LH
- Shite pivots 180 degrees, RH with extended arm places against uke's L jawbone as RF C/S forward to throw

- as applying control, shuffle forward & away from uke, next two steps in direction into uke's armpit
- shite's hand & arm applying control should be firm like unbendable arm, use hip to shuffle away from uke
- ensure hands are kept at kamae distance & centred to body (pushing a broom stick)
- when applying the second pin, slide inside knee into uke's armpit
